Reversing an historically consolidated trend, Italy has become an emigration zone again. This paper aims at analysing the new Italian emigration patterns and trends, as well as its composition, in order to compare it with the previous migratory movements.

abstract

There are no great changes in internal migration compared to the pre-crisis period, but the situation is quite different with regard to the migration abroad.
