Abstract
This article proposes a methodology for undertaking a comprehensive comparative study of binding techniques, addressing the challenges inherent in such investigations and exploring technological solutions, alongside their respective advantages and limitations. The study involves a case analysis comparing Coptic and Ethiopian binding techniques. Commencing with definitions of both methods, the article outlines the outcomes of traditional historical comparative analysis. Subsequently, it presents the different conclusions that can be drawn through the modern methodology, rooted in the direct analysis of bindings.
