Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to highlight the opportunities offered by computer science when applied to classical philology. In this respect, I find particularly important to remember my own experience, which dates back to the 80s, i.e. to the time when I started my work on indexing epigrams and inscriptions. Thanks to the recent development of research tools like Musisque deoque, I propose a new thematic classification of Greek epigrams and inscriptions.
