La ‘nuova diaspora’ russa in Serbia, tra crisi, conflitti e contesti geopolitici
Abstract
This article critically examines international migration movements to Belgrade, with a special focus on the recent Russian migration in the context of the Ukrainian War. The analysis is based on empirical research and an ethnographic study of the socio-spatial effects of the current migration movements and their impact on social, economic, cultural, and geopolitical relationships in the city of Belgrade. Applying such methodology, this study discusses migration movements in the broader context of the historical development of Russian migration in the Balkans and its implications for international and Serbian society.
