Abstract
The objective of this paper is to offer an original outlook onto the tools and benefits obtainable through the application of the CLIL methodology in the teaching of Italian as a foreign or second language within an overall teaching plan where both a foreign language and subject contents are delivered. Here is presented the added value this methodology can offer to all those professionals involved in enriching the body of knowledge developed through cinema with the purpose of creating better learning conditions and give rise to a teaching experience of greater effectiveness, thanks also to the fact that students discover different cultural values seen from different angles enabling them to interpret language phenomena with greater scope thanks to their socio-cultural outcome.
