Guido Perocco (1916-1997)

Abstract

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Guido Perocco’s death, his figure of art historian and director of the Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna in Venice is commemorated with the highlight of some less-known points of view. Thanks to the family and the collaborators’ voices and to unpublished archival documents, this paper brings to light his various cultural interests. He was protagonist of a vast historical-critical and museum activity, starting from the fundamental work of rediscovery of the artists of the first period of exhibitions at Ca’ Pesaro.
