Capitolo | Metri dell’epica nella lirica di Euripide: risonanze e rimodulazioni
Abstract
This paper examines how Euripides uses and reshapes metrical patterns from the epic-lyric tradition – dactyls, dactylo-epitrites, anapaests – in his tragedies Andromache, Hecuba, and Trojan Women. The use of these meters associated with a formal register of epic style gives the text a peculiar semantic value.
