Abstract
The essay examines the representation of shared space among immigrants in contemporary Spain. It explores this space as a place of tension that affects both the visualization and the narration of the immigrant experience through the analysis of the TV series Vientos de agua (2006) by Juan José Campanella, and the documentaries El otro lado: un acercamiento a Lavapiés (2002) by Básel Ramsis and Aguaviva (2006) by Ariadna Pujol.
