Abstract

The chapter focuses on the intervention of the construction sector unions at the national, European and transnational levels. Based on the analysis of actual cases, for the resolution of which the unions played a central role, this chapter examines the areas and dynamics where the interventions for the protection and defence of Italian and foreign workers victims of fraudulent posting have developed. Thanks to its double role of sending and receiving country, Italy was the country from which investigations and actions went beyond the European borders, to the point of conceiving effective synergistic strategies of international cooperation.
