Abstract
En El licenciado Vidriera de Cervantes se halla un gran elogio de Venecia, que se define como «admiración del mundo antiguo» por «su riqueza infinita, su gobierno prudente» y otros muchos valores que solo la hacen paragonable a «la gran Méjico». Con esta invitación, el presente libro recoge las tres conferencias plenarias y una selección de las contribuciones presentadas al XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas (2-4 de octubre de 2019), que giran principalmente en torno al teatro, la recepción y las relaciones italianas de Cervantes. Al mismo tiempo, este volumen rinde homenaje a Donatella Pini y Carlos Romero Muñoz, organizadores de la clásica serie «Giornate cervantine».
