Abstract
«L’incanto è qualcosa di ineffabile», dice Goffredo Parise parlando di Piazza San Marco. Secondo lui non è possibile sostituire la meraviglia che questa visione suscita con le parole che cercano di circoscriverla. Questo libro nasce da una sfida: provare invece a ragionare su come le parole hanno descritto Venezia nel tempo, dal Medioevo alla più stretta contemporaneità. Non è una storia letteraria di Venezia, è piuttosto una serie di illuminazioni, di momenti che hanno segnato questa storia. Questa ricerca nasce dalla collaborazione tra l’Università Ca’ Foscari e l’Università di Klagenfurt nell’ambito del Dottorato in Italianistica e mette a confronto lo sguardo di studiosi che lavorano nella città lagunare con quello di chi viene da fuori. Una prospettiva multicentrica per una città cosmopolita.
