Le Lettere di Andrea Calmo: assaggi sul terzo libro (1552)

Abstract
Opera dalla brillante verve espressionistica, il terzo libro di Lettere di Andrea Calmo (Venezia, 1552) partecipa dello stesso, raffinato cortocircuito temporale di cui già godono i due precedenti. Firmate da fittizi pescatori appartenenti all’antichità lagunare, le missive s’indirizzano a figure storiche del Cinquecento veneziano, con qualche ragguardevole escursione fuori dai Serenissimi domini. I destinatari calmiani sono dunque patrizi, cittadini e popolani noti all’epoca, ma col tempo dimenticati. Attraverso le fonti più varie è però oggi possibile ricostruirne, almeno sommariamente, le biografie, restituendo agli studi sull’autore un profilo nettamente più definito.
