Manuali di italiano L2 adottati nei CPIA: struttura e leggibilità
Abstract
Teachers are expected to critically observe and analyse learning materials, including manuals and textbooks, as part of their professional practice. This paper focuses on textbooks specifically designed for teaching Italian as second language (L2), currently adopted in the Provincial Centres for Adult Instruction (Centri Provinciali per l’Istruzione degli Adulti - CPIA) and used in Italian language and literacy courses (AALI) corresponding to CEFR levels A1 and A2. The study investigates both the design and the internal structure of these textbooks, and further evaluates the readability of the textual components through linguistic and computational tools. Adopting a primarily descriptive approach, the research aims to explore and critically assess the textbooks currently used in Italian CPIAs, contributing to the ongoing reflection on textbooks design for adult migrant education.
