Per un ‘testo armeno’ della letteratura russa

Abstract

After V.N. Toporov introduced the concept of ‘Saint Petersburg text’, the field of Russian Studies has witnessed what might be called a ‘textological turn’. As a consequence, several studies concerning various ‘texts’ appeared, culminating in Liusyi’s monograph devoted to the ‘Moscow text’. Here, Liusyi explores the possibility of adopting the notion of ‘Caucasian text’ of Russian literature. However, this ‘umbrella expression’ proves to be too loose, especially if considering the Armenian case. The present essay argues the necessity of introducing the concept of ‘Armenian text’ of Russian literature, taking travel writing as a starting point.
