Posted workers in Danimarca tra social dumping, diritti violati e organizzazione sindacale
abstract
In the last years a wave of low-cost labour has poured into Danish construction sites caused by the free movement of labour and the enlargement of the EU towards the East putting pressure on wages and working conditions. The essay examines this effect on large public construction projects in Denmark such as the Metro of Copenhagen including the consequences for the working environment as well as the dumping of wages due to lowest bid tenders. Furthermore, it explores the effort of Danish trade unions through organisation aim to create fair and equal conditions for all workers and to safeguard the Danish model which has been under pressure due to the globalisation process.
