Le migrazioni tra Sud e Centro-Nord: persistenze e novità
abstract
Latest research shows a smaller impact of migratory flows between South and Cent- er-North of Italy; this trend began during the first years of the new century as a result of the de- creased intensity of internal migratory movements and the increasing presence of international migrants in the country. However, the subordinated role of the Italian southern regions in the national migratory interchange remains unvaried, due to the persistent economic differential between North and South.
