Abstract
Né il greco antico né quello bizantino hanno mai conosciuto un termine specifico deputato a designare il ‘dramma satiresco’, componente finale e al contempo costante – o, comunque, frequente – della tetralogia teatrale dionisiaca: a differenza di τραγῳδία e κωμῳδία, un *σατυρῳδία non è mai attestato nelle fonti di nessuna epoca, ordine e grado. L’indagine terminologica svolta nella Prima Parte del volume parte da questa constatazione e muove alla ricerca delle effettive denominazioni del dramma satiresco e di quanto possono rivelare sulla sua natura e percezione antica.
