Abstract
On the 150th anniversary of the birth of Guglielmo Marconi, Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci examines the artefacts and documents linked to his legacy to understand how this heritage was formed and what it reveals today about media technology history. The volume uses the Museum’s Marconi collections as a starting point for new research questions, highlighting his role not only in industry but also in culture and communication practices. Contributions from scholars across multiple disciplines propose alternative perspectives on Marconi’s traditional biography and broaden the narrative around wireless and mobile communication with new contexts, actors, and lesser-known details.
