Manutenzione, conservazione, restauro, allestimento: le stratificazioni progettuali di un intervento integrato su un palazzo veneziano

Il caso della Querini Stampalia

Abstract

Palazzo Querini Stampalia is a peculiar building, in which eras, functions and meanings are stratified: an example of sixteenth-century architecture, a historic residence with eighteenth-century furnishings, a library open to citizens, an intimate garden, a place of inserts of contemporary architecture that have been welded onto the background of patrician residence, as in a kaleidoscope that multiplies its image and values. In the recent works carried out on different areas of the building, maintenance, conservation, restoration and set-up have constituted, as in a style exercise, a declination of the project on the existing building for the protection of the multiple values that has been stratified throughout the history of this palace.
