Abstract
A manifold legacy of the pharaonic civilisation in Egypt witnessed to a special relevance of “texts”, that were transmitted by a number of papyri and epigraphic sources. They show deep roots through thousands of years and the appropriation by different cultures, entailing a basic dearth of historical conscience as well.
