Abstract
The paper proposes a first of its kind investigation on individual language teaching context. Given its original and uncommon nature, the main objective is to outline a preliminary characterisation of the topic. The first section provides a terminological premise that helps identify the context. The central part of the paper presents a comparison between individual, collective and individualized language teaching to distinguish the subject matter of the research. The final section discusses and introduces the main principles and properties of individual language teaching.
