abstract

Angelo Beolco, known as Ruzante, was a famous Paduan actor and playwright who lived in the Venetian Republic during the early age of Renaissance. In the first part of my essay, I am going to point out the influence of Erasmo’s work on Ruzante’s comedies. In the second part of my essay I am going to demostrate how Ruzante’s Orationi were influenced by Luther’s trough the relationship with German students of the University of Padua.
