Time and Space in L’estrella d’En Perris (1963) by J.V. Foix
Abstract
A lack of research on J.V. Foix’s books of prose has been observed by scholars. Arguably, this can be considered consequence of his hermetic procedures, due to the destabilisation he operates with the traditional uses of the literary text, in the tradition of avant-garde. In this article, I suggest a formal analysis of L’estrella d’En Perris (1963) to show how this destabilisation works. A previous study targeted the prologue of L’estrella d’En Perris, its diegesis and the transitions between text and paratext; here I study the grammatical (especially verbal tenses) and lexical (especially toponyms) structures of its texts with patterns offered by narratology.
