I rapporti economico-finanziari tra Italia e Repubblica di San Marino
abstract
Because of geography, the economic and financial relations between Italy and San Marino have specific characteristics: the small size of the latter, in fact, led to the adoption of a regulatory framework favorable to attract foreign capital, but at the same time virtually suitable to be involved in illegal movement of money. Despite the peculiarities of San Marino (with regard to the structure of Supervisory Authorities, anti-money laundering discipline and bank secrecy arrangement), especially if compared to the Italian ones, it seems that in the last years the “Titan Republic” has been directing towards a framework characterized by greater transparency and increased international cooperation.
