Abstract
This study analyses and provides the critical edition of a 14 pages fragment of a Tuscan version of Marco Polo’s Milione, transmitted from the ms. Alexianus I, 3 of the Biblioteca Sant’Alessio Falconieri in Rome. The codex is a 15th-century zibaldone containing fragments of vernacular works and vernacularisations dating from the 14th-15th centuries. The text can be traced back to the ‘minor’ Tuscan redaction TB, but in fact represents a rewriting in its own right motivated by scholarly interest and preserves particularly significant variants in the TB tradition, as well as data drawn from Odorico da Pordenone’s Relatio.
