Chapter | 14 • Clause Linking
Abstract
Ainu scholars have traditionally distinguished the clause linking words of Ainu into the two classes of ‘conjunctions’ and ‘conjunctionalisers’. In other accounts this distinction is not present and clause linkers are only called ‘conjunctions’. Syntactically, the forms of both classes follow the predicate of the clause they introduce.
