Abstract

The following study focuses on Morazzone’s drawing practice and, in particular, on the function of drawing as an instrument of diffusion of a figurative language in Lombardy, reporting specific case studies that demonstrate direct references to works of the Roman artistic environment of the Sistine and Clementine periods, also in the light of what is reported in the sources.
