A Census of Medieval Bindings and an Experiment in Book Archaeology Applied to Codices in the University Library of Padua
Abstract
Starting with the census of medieval bindings, which was carried out within the Istituto di patologia del libro from 1985 to 2002, an application of book archaeology is proposed to the manuscripts and incunabula kept at the University Library of Padua.
