Abstract
The essay reflects on the principle of trust in the new Italian Public Contracts Code and its implications. In particular, it seeks to analyse the repercussions of the new principle, and the new ‘paradigm of trust’, and therefore questions the forms of transparency, accountability, and control consistent with the new model of public administration.
