Haptic Communication and Guide Dog
Abstract
In this essay, experiences with using haptic signals to support the use of guide dogs for people with deafblindness are presented. Learning from these experiences is vital to improve communication between a person with deafblindness and their guide dog. The essay describes data and activities, main findings and considerations of necessary preconditions for positive outcomes. The signals that were used are also illustrated.
