Epitaph of Silenus of Reggio

Abstract
The inscribed base celebrates Silenus of Reggio, who died when Reggio legation went to Athens in 433/432 BC to renew the defensive alliance dating back to the forties of the fifth century. Athens paid homage to him and buried him using the public expenditure.
