Research Article | Lifelong Teaching of Arabic LSPs: A Case Study
Abstract
This paper matches education for adults with Arabic for specific purposes. In the first part, we deal with some of the special needs of adult learners, pose methodological issues related to the target audience and suggest what we expect to be the most appropriate teaching methods and techniques in a humanistic-affective approach. In the second part, given a hypothetical need of professional retraining, Arabic and business Arabic are analysed by focusing on some teaching questions that are concerned. The issue of appropriate teaching materials is challenging. Here we propose a brief case study by suggesting a learning unit devised in the light of the methodological reflections stated in the introductory paragraphs.
