1913. La I Esposizione d’Arte Veneta

Abstract

The article is focused on a little – but significant – exhibition organised in Venice in Spring 1913. The I Esposizione d’Arte Veneta, that took place in the spaces beside the Misericordia, was indeed the perfect mirror of the middle taste of the local collectors. Its 139 works included some well-known names, as Alessandro Zezzos or Carlo Lorenzetti or Duilio Korompay, and some other artists belonging to a new generation that was not included in the official Biennale and neither in the Secessionist movement of the Ca’ Pesaro exhibitions.
