Abstract
Official figures show that the duration of civil proceedings in Italy is generally greater than that of the main European countries. This may have an impact on the social and economic development of the country. Using in-depth data on a specific case study, this research aims to highlight some features that may affect the timing of civil justice. The results, based on OLS approach, show that some feature, on average, are more impactful. In turn, results are used to build a Case Weighting System that accounts for those differences in complexity.
