crossmark logo

Abstract

This article explores the meaning and boundaries of the conception of truth in Mesopotamia and Greece. The two cultures show similarities and differences, but Mesopotamian scholarship never developed a concept of truth as conformity to ‘what is’. On the contrary, Greek philosophy separated truth and falsehood in epistemological and ontological terms.
