Abstract

Structural analysis of the Gesuiti bell tower in Venice was intended as an opportunity to study its particular typology and to compare similar structures built in the area. Starting from their history and from an accurate analysis of geometrical survey results, typical vulnerabilities were identified by structural analysis and restoration interventions were suggested underlining the importance of knowing the historical construction technologies without forgetting that each ancient building must be considered for its uniqueness and its specific characteristics.
