Dedication by the Syracusans to All the Gods
Abstract
It is a votive base that bears a dedication on the part of the Syracusans to all the gods to celebrate Hiero II’s victory when he is said to have excelled in the army camp: it was probably the first official victory, namely when he won near the river Longano at the beginning of his reign.
