Research Article | Eternal Curse on the Reader of These Pages / Maldición eterna a quien lea estas páginas
Abstract
Manuel Puig’s autotranslational discourse deals with the elaboration of alterity. The example examined in this article as contextual/autotranslational accuracy is the novel Eternal Curse on the Reader of These Pages, autotranslated as Maldición eterna a quien lea estas páginas. Some differences concerning autotranslational praxis depending on the authorial contexts are examined. The goal of this article is to analyse autotranslational cases and Manuel Puig’s direct experiences in order to point out the peculiarities of his ‘moving language’ communicating with the others and looking for a concrete realism.
