Abstract

The longest chapter in the book. Fazun describes monastic life at the three great Geluk monasteries around Lhasa, the géshé examination system, and the annual cycle of Dharma assemblies. He also surveys Tibetan literature, sculpture, casting, painting, butter art, and architecture.
