An account of the relationship between Tibet’s two supreme incarnated lamas: their shared lineage through Tsongkhapa’s direct disciples, their distinct jurisdictions, and the political tensions between their respective followers during his own time. Fazun corrects widespread misconceptions circulating in Republican China.
