Abstract
The analysis will focus on two of the Spanish translations of Le Avventure di Pinocchio edited by Calleja Publisher in Madrid: Aventuras de Pinocho: historia de un muñeco de madera, 1925, with illustrations by Carlo Chiostri; and Aventuras de Pinocho: primeras andanzas del famoso muñeco de madera, 1941, with illustrations by Pitti Bartolozzi. First, the matter of Spanish translations of works written for children will be briefly discussed; finally, a sinthetical explanation of the work of this publisher and thethe analysis on the differences between both translations will be presented.
