Research Article | Oracular Lamella from Dodona: a Public Consultation
Abstract
In the 4th-3th century BC, some arbitrators from a koinon in Epirus went to Dodona’s sanctuary in order to ask the Oracle a public question involving the management of a public amount of money. This fragmented lamella, from the Evangelidis’ excavations, is particularly interesting because it refers to three important Greek institutions: the diaitoi, the pritaneion and the polis.
