Research Article | A Journey through Bioy Cesares’ Fictional Universe
Abstract
The trip is a fundamental theme of Bioy Casares’s prose. In his fantastic short stories, journey is a like a bridge that connects characters to a ‘different’ reality. Through the analysis of four short stories, La trama celeste, El lado de la sombra, De la forma del mundo and De los reyes futuros we firstly define different typologies of fantastic trips. Secondly, we focus on the narrative and discursive strategies used by the author for preparing the apparition of the fantastic situation.
