Abstract
A discussion of the process of figuration described by Paul Ricoeur illustrated by comparative analyses of poems by Octavio Paz, Rosario Castellanos and Dylan Thomas, framed by references to the lessons of Claudio Guillén and perspectives shared with the author, formulated in terms of a philosophy of culture that spouses intersubjective and contextualized reading.
