Dedication by the Aeinautae in Eretria

Abstract
The Aeinautae’ votive inscription was found in 1961 near the theatre of ancient Eretria. Variously dated at the beginning or at the end of the fifth century, it is an important element of the research that underlined the endemicity of the relation of Eretria with the sea. The dedication represents the most ancient occurrence of Hermes cult in Eretria.
