Abstract

The following key-concepts were introduced by Claudio Guillén in comparative literary research during the last two decades of the 20th century and played a seminal role in the development and transformation of many fields of comparative literature: 1) between/in-between; 2) e 3) wisdom/knowledge; 4) supranationality; 5) literary abodes: themes, genres, forms. These topics have been discussed in their original Spanish definition (as they are not easy to translate). Besides, it was impossible for the author of this article not to remember those personal recollections which make Claudio’s teaching still alive.
