Introduction
Abstract
The last decade has seen major technological changes related to artificial intelligence, particularly in the fields of machine translation (MT) and natural language processing (NLP). The remarkable progress made in research into the automation of text and speech translation (machine translation, speech synthesis and recognition, image/text linking, evaluation metrics, etc.), combined with what is known as artificial intelligence (AI), is broadening the field of application of translation tools. These developments and the democratisation of neural translation are leading us to rethink our working methods and the organisation of the professions themselves.
