Abstract

On her way back from her sister’s house, a woman had an accident on her motorcycle while driving along one of the many tracks that get lost in the Chaco bush. She was riding alone and, therefore, nobody knows what and how actually happened. In addition to trying to reconstruct the event, this text dwells on the consequences of the accident, whether social, economic or spatial. It also analyzes an accident that would never have reached the police records and that would have gone completely unnoticed by the insurance system, but that nevertheless still becomes an event that marked the life of the victim, her family and an entire community.
