Benita, la ejemplaridad del relato de resistencia
abstract
This article consists of an interpretation of Benita Galeana’s autobiography, Benita, as a ‘resistance story’ with an exemplary potential. We consider two aspects of exemplarity: its persuasive effects (as evidence) and its capacity of establishing a model for action. And we propose an analysis of Benita’s exemplarity based on the construction of the main character as a hero and as a victim.
