Le parole del teatro

open access | peer reviewed

Aims & Scope
This series is dedicated to the study of the translation of dramatic texts and their reception, from both a synchronic and a diachronic perspective. It is conceived as a publishing platform open to the analysis of translations and adaptations of plays into different languages, the exploration of the linguistic and philological aspects of the dramatic text, as well as reflection on the art of mise en scène and the history of performance, in relation to the formation and dissemination of European repertoires. The journal welcomes studies on international theatre production, including those accompanied by translated texts, as well as reflections on the relationship between text and performance, the study of performative practices and forms of accessibility in theatre, ranging from interlingual translation used for surtitles and audio descriptions to the use of new technologies that promote inclusive theatre-going.
